Learn the skills and confidence needed to become a safe and responsible babysitter with the American Red Cross Babysitting Instructor-Led Course. This hands-on training is designed for youth ages 11 and older who want to care for children and infants. Taught by certified Red Cross instructors, the course covers essential topics such as child safety, basic first aid, age-appropriate activities, emergency preparedness, and how to handle challenging behaviors. Participants will also learn effective communication with parents, professionalism, and tips for building a successful babysitting business. Upon successful completion, students will receive a Red Cross Babysitting Certification, demonstrating their readiness to provide quality care.
